Vocation Ministry "Did You Know?"

In an upcoming HORIZON article, Friar Mario Serrano, OFM, Conv., writes, "Sometimes we assume someone is saying no to a vocation when, in reality, they simply cannot take the next step. The obstacle may be financial. It may be transportation. It may be family concerns. It may be fear. It may be a lack of knowledge about religious life. It may be the simple discomfort of entering a world that feels unfamiliar to them. Vocation ministry therefore includes a practical question: “What obstacle is keeping this person from taking the next step?” Sometimes accompaniment means removing the obstacle.
