NRVC selected to receive a grant from The Serra International Foundation

The Serra International Foundation awarded NRVC a grant of one thousand dollars to “continue to promote vocations to ministerial priesthood and consecrated life in the Catholic Church.” 

The first goal of the 2025-2028 NRVC Directional Statements aims to enhance vocation ministry by providing resources, professional development, and shared wisdom while fostering collaboration and inclusivity across generations and cultures. This grant request is written specifically for today’s discerners and their families through digital vocations outreach on NRVC’s YouTube channel. The videos will be recorded at the annual Member Area Coordinator gathering and Convocation.  

This grant will highlight NRVC lay vocation directors and strengthen our intercultural approach to vocation outreach by creating 10 new four-minute videos and twenty short clips. This video series will focus on 1) the role of a vocation director, 2) how to find vocation directors to discern your vocation, 3) helpful wisdom for families to know about entering religious life, 4) ways to encourage Catholics to promote vocations, and 5) each person leading their favorite prayer for vocations according to the spirituality of the religious institute.  The unique aspect of this new video series is its intentional focus on featuring lay vocation directors, and Spanish and Vietnamese speaking voices!
