SISTER ESPERANZA is friendly, usually the first to welcome people, and the type of person people confide in regularly. She is an asset to the vocation team because she is a role model; she witnesses joy, authenticity, and fidelity in religious life. She promotes vocations, especially from varied cultures, and has the willingness to learn aspects of interculturality. She teaches theology to high school sophomores and regularly gives contact information to the vocation director of students who ask her about religious life. This is helpful because the vocation director can invite these students to casual vocation events such as “Sundaes with the Sisters” in the summer months. It has been a great way to introduce students to the community and religious life.
