Come to learn, leave renewed

Author: Sister Deborah Borneman, SS.C.M., Director of Mission Integration

This is your invitation to invest in your own vocation and nourish your soul. Immerse yourself into our hallmark member event with those who understand the joys and challenges of vocation ministry, to be strengthened through prayer and liturgy, to learn together, and to return home with practical support and renewed energy.

Convocation is not meant to exhaust you or add another event to your calendar. When vocation ministers gather, ideas are sparked, relationships deepen, and we become bearers of hope across generations and cultures, keeping the dream of religious life alive!

If you have ever returned from Convocation feeling inspired but quickly swept back into your relentless schedule, consider lingering a little longer. On Monday morning, November 23, NRVC Member Area Coordinator, Sister Caryn Crook, OSF, will facilitate a free three-hour, tech-free reflection from 8:15 to 11:00 a.m. to return home ready for Advent.

NRVC has reserved a hotel room block for three days before and three days after Convocation, subject to availability, making this a wonderful opportunity to come early, stay later, rest, reconnect, and return renewed.

Register today before the special NRVC guaranteed hotel rate ends on October 18. Share our publicity videos to encourage others to participate!

Hope is bold; it can look beyond personal convenience, the petty securities and compensations which limit our horizon, and it can open us up to grand ideals that make life more beautiful and worthwhile. Let us continue, then, to advance along the paths of hope (Fratelli Tutti, 55).
