As we take a moment to reflect on the significance of Dr. Martin Luther King Junior, I realize that he has been a hero of mine since I was ten. It's hard to believe that I first learned about him as a fifth grader at Santa Isabel Elementary School, an inner-city Catholic school in the Los Angeles area run by the School Sisters of Notre Dame. And yet, the lessons he taught me remain in my heart to this day.
